Post by 4/13: Your "Found Poem" and Prompt!/ Your Original Poems by 4/21

Please post your found poem and your original prompt by 4/13. This will ensure that your peers have plenty of time to craft a response to your prompt or to one of your colleagues, so please be punctual.

Refer to the Koch chapters and also to the sample poem and prompt I distributed to you on 4/9 to help you along. Have fun, poem scavengers and prompt-writers!

BY 4/21: Post your original poem written in response to one of the prompts. Be sure to title your poem and to thank the person who supplied the prompt that you used for inspiration.

Post by 4/16: Booktalks for Books 9-12

Here we will post virtual booktalks about our independent reading choices. You have already posted talks on books 7 and 8. By 4/16, post book talks on books 9-12.

REMEMBER: Follow the format that Donelson and Nilsen share with us on p.287 for each book talk you post! I'm talking about the pink box, folks. That means you'll suggest a section for reading at the end of each of your booktalks, and you will follow the format EXACTLY how you see it on p.287.

Each one will be its own post, so I'm looking for 4 entries from each of you. Upon completion of this task, we should all have an impressive store of resources from which to pull ideas and texts once we begin teaching! Yay!

Post by 4/9: Description of your Visual Bridge

Please post a brief description of the visual bridge you recently shared with your peers. Be specific enough that a peer could duplicate your bridge in the future if he or she chooses.

Remember that you will not receive your grade for your visual bridge until your description has been posted.
